The thing about this issue that I find profoundly hypocritical is these people are so concerned about the rights and welfare of an unborn fetus, but don't give a damn about the welfare of the child after birth. This issue highlights the insanity of many religious people.
I am not a religious person, in fact I am an atheist. Even so I feel every one is entitled to believe whatever that want, especially on theocratic issues. But nobody has a right to tell others what to believe.
The notion that a child can be cast into a family that does not have the means to give that child the love, nurturing, and support it needs to become a healthy, fullfiled, contributing, member of society just because of the "beliefs" of someone who has no interest in the welfare of that child is infuriating beyond measure.
