Liz Cheney for President
I am a dyed in the wool Liberal. I am about as ideologically different from Liz Cheney as it is possible to be. Even so, I must say with absolutely no reservation whatsoever, we need more people like Liz Cheney in our government.
She says she is contemplating running for President. Being a hardcore Liberal, I doubt I would vote for her if she did run for President. But… If she did run, and did win, I would be glad to have her as the President of my country.
Liz Cheney’s outspoken criticism of Donald Trump is both courageous and spot on! The notion that there is even a small chance for Trump to ever again be in any position of influence in our government, let alone President, is absolutely horrifying to me.
This is not the first time I have expressed my feelings about Trump. If I live long enough, it will probably not be the last. I have said many times, I do not understand why so many people see Trump in a positive light. There are many ideological differences in our society. There are many people who prefer conservative ideology, people who do not like my ideology. I welcome diversity, and I support their right to express and lobby for their views. So, what is it about Trump that I find so distasteful? Trump is not conservative, and he is certainly not liberal. Trump’s only objective is to aggrandize and enrich himself as much as possible. Hurting others and trampling on their rights is not his concern.
So, Thank You Liz Cheney… For your service to our country as member of the House of Representatives… And for speaking out so clearly about the danger Trump poses to our country.
