It has been nice to learn a little about you, Daniel.

Some of the things you say about yourself resonate with me personally.

I wish I had a tenth of the motivation and determination you have.

Regarding these things...

- I want to be free.

Don't we all... Sadly many aren't nearly as free as they deserve to be. Thankfully, I personally have a good measure of freedom.

- I want to understand.

Boy, do I resonate with that one. It is the only thing that keeps me going... especially in absence of item three...

- I want to connect.

This is my Sisyphean challenge.

- I want to make things better.

This is a real conundrum for me. Let me clarify... I most certainly do to WANT to make things better. But it seems that I can only do this on a very small scale. Feeding the birds in my neighborhood, caring for my dog, holding the door for for someone struggling to get out of the grocery store, and the like. But saving the planet from the decimating actions of mankind. That is way beyond my abilities. And sadly, even if it is within the scope of mankind's abilities, and I don't think it is... We, as a species are to selfish and narrowminded to do what is needed.
