Hmmm... Well, I pretty much agree with every thing you said, but there is one little fact that you left out. As the sun runs out of fuel, it will start to expand. This will eventually make life on Earth impossible. Earth and all its living creatures will literaly be toast. Of course, we will be gone because our own folly long before that.
