For me, the consequences are much too sever, EVEN if I were to pull it off and get away scott free, It wouldn't sit well with me. Creatures living in the wild, especially carnivores, have no choice but to prey on others. They do it to survive. Civilization offers us other ways to "earn" our way in the world.

It is not just the police or the enforcers of law that deter me. I have no wish to live in a dog eat dog world (even though that is pretty much how it is).

Of course, all of that logic ignores the fact that I use and support a system that preys on an animals raised in horrific and unnatural conditions, and then packages them up in sanitized styrofoam and plastic, making them available to me to select from an open refrigerated case.
