I can see the inventor of this light bulb snickering to himself now.
Is it just old geezers like me that have trouble screwing in this light bulb?
Oh sure, it is very efficient, and it tucks itself nicely out of the way, so it seems like light is just magically beaming out of the stainless steel hood over my cooktop. But just try to plug in one of these little gizmos.
The hole that this bulb fits into is just slightly larger (1 or 2 mm) than the diameter of the bulb itself. Not only does this make it impossible to hold the sides of the bulb while inserting it, but, even more problematic, it is nearly impossible to align the two electrodes with the holes they are supposed to plug into, because nothing beyond the face of the bulb is visible.

Yeah… yeah… I know what you are going to say… It is just my puppy toes that make this so difficult…
